the Arcade: Virtual World Meets Reality TV - PS3 on CRACK

What started out as a gaming company is now slowly moving into a full scale conglomerate. SCE or Sony Computer Entertainment has began the process to migrate the Playstation 3's Playstation Network platform into a actual TV network.

This past Tuesday, John Koller (Director of Marketing for PlayStation Platforms at SCE) stated "This is an area we're going to be building out — reality shows and other areas that would live within the PlayStation Network, and only PlayStation consumers would be able to download them." He continued "We're starting to turn the PlayStation Network into an actual network as defined by what you'd expect from an HBO perspective where new and interesting content constantly breaks through." According to the news, the initial programming will cater specifically to game enthusiast, but if this combustible spark ignites...more expansive program will be rolled out.

WOW, WOW, WOW so SONY you are telling me that not only is PS3 the best Blue-Ray player on the market, it also has some of the sickest games and soon LIVE TV. Yep, time to go ahead and upgrade the external HD to 2 TB and the TV to a 55-60". When this actually rolls out...best believe this tech groupie will be a lifetime subscriber.
