It saddens us to communicate this news. Cincinnati Bengals Receiver Chris Henry has passed away as a result of his injuries suffered yesterday following a domestic dispute with his fiancée.
Our thoughts and prayers are extended to Chris Henry's family, friends, and Cincinnati Bengals teammates. Chris Henry was earning the title as the "Comeback Kid" after turning around what was once a tremulous career filled with on the field heroics and off the field antics. It's unfortunate that he never got the chance to fully right the wayward ship before this unfortunate incident occurred.
Early reports have acknowledged that police are investigating exactly what transpired between the time Chris Henry ran from the house, hopped into the bed of the truck and when he was found 800 meters from his fiancée parents' home with now grave injuries. At this time, no charges or arrest(s) have been made.
Chris Henry was 26 years old and had 3 young children.
